Retirees

Lenard Boehler

Lenard Boehler began his career with SGI in August 2000, starting as an appraiser and going on to spend many years as a valued member of COPE 397. Throughout his career, Lenard was known not just for his dedication to the work, but for the kindness, humility, and steady presence he brought to his workplace.

As Lenard looks ahead to retirement, he does so with the same good humour that defined his working life. In his own words:

“In retirement I plan on working on my 1970 Pontiac LeMans in the winter and camping, fishing, golf, and riding my bike in summer. Best advice for my co-workers would be, ‘don’t miss me too much lol.’”

That warmth was felt by those who worked alongside him. Fellow member Barry Hutt shared:

“I was excited to move up here to Meadow Lake and meet and work with him. One of the nicest guys I have ever known.”

Lenard’s career leaves behind a legacy of professionalism, generosity, and genuine care for others. As he trades busy workdays for open roads, quiet campsites, and time spent doing what he loves, his COPE 397 family wishes him nothing but the very best in this next chapter.
