Lenard Boehler
About
“In retirement I plan on working on my 1970 Pontiac LeMans in the winter and camping, fishing, golf, and riding my bike in summer. Best advice for my co-workers would be, ‘don’t miss me too much lol.’”
That warmth was felt by those who worked alongside him. Fellow member Barry Hutt shared:
“I was excited to move up here to Meadow Lake and meet and work with him. One of the nicest guys I have ever known.”
Lenard’s career leaves behind a legacy of professionalism, generosity, and genuine care for others. As he trades busy workdays for open roads, quiet campsites, and time spent doing what he loves, his COPE 397 family wishes him nothing but the very best in this next chapter.
Enjoy every mile, every cast, and every swing — you’ve more than earned it.
Stacey Dyck-Jiricka
About
COPE 397 proudly recognizes the retirement of Stacey Dyck-Jiricka, whose career has been defined by her unwavering commitment to working people and to advancing meaningful social change.
Throughout her many years of service, Stacey has been a strong, principled voice within our. She consistently brought forward the concerns of members, advocated for fairness, and helped shape decisions that strengthened our collective voice.
Stacey also played a key leadership role as an officer of Prairie Council, our union’s main governing body. In that role, she provided steady guidance, thoughtful perspective, and a deep understanding of the values that drive our work. Her presence at the Prairie Council table will be greatly missed.
And while her contributions were always serious and impactful, Stacey also brought a presence that many of us will never forget – including her familiar spot on Zoom calls, behind a light haze of cigarette smoke. It became, in its own way, part of the character of our meetings and a reminder that the Labour movement is built by real people, exactly as they are.
Stacey leaves behind a legacy of dedication, integrity, and solidarity that will continue to inspire those who follow.
On behalf of COPE 397, we extend our sincere thanks and wish Stacey all the very best in her well-earned retirement.
